Food insecurity is traditionally thought of as a problem primarily affecting people in poverty, without jobs or living on the streets.  However, while poverty and unemployment rates are leading indicators used to identify the need for food, food insecurity is actually a growing problem that affects many income levels. In fact, Feeding America cites that on a national average, 58% of people who struggle with hunger actually live above the poverty level, while 59% of those in poverty are actually “food secure.”

Your money goes to help the foundation raise money for our monthly food giveaways, our scholarship program and our annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner that helps to feeds over 40,000 in need.
